Privacy policy

Main & Maple is a local tech business owned and operated by Joseph Cannon. This page explains what information I collect, why, and what you can do about it. Short version: I collect what you send me so I can help you, and I don't sell or share it.

What I collect

• What you send me. When you fill out a form, email, call, or text, I get what you include: usually your name, business name, email, phone number, town, and message.
• Basic visit counts. Cloudflare Web Analytics counts visits on every page without cookies and without tracking you across other sites.
• Where a message came from. The contact form records the page you sent it from and any campaign tag in the link you followed (for example, from a Facebook ad), so I know what's working.
• Code from other services. Every page loads the AI assistant's code from jsDelivr, a public code library, and connects to ElevenLabs. Like any website visit, those services see your IP address and browser. They don't get your messages unless you talk to the assistant.
• Server logs. The hosting provider (Cloudflare) keeps short-lived technical logs, such as IP addresses, to keep the site secure and working.
• The AI assistants. If you talk to Maple, the AI assistant on this site, or to a demo receptionist on a sample or preview page, the conversation is recorded and transcribed by ElevenLabs, my voice provider, and deleted after 30 days. Transcripts aren't sent anywhere else. If you ask Maple to have me follow up, it saves the contact details you give it, just like the contact form. The demo asks for a phone number to show how booking works; a made-up number is fine there.

How I use it

• To answer your question or request.
• To do the work you hire me for, and to send quotes and invoices.
• To keep basic business records, as the law requires.

I don't use your information to build advertising profiles, and I don't sell it.

Who helps me run things

A few service providers handle information on my behalf, only to provide their service: Cloudflare (website hosting, storing form messages, and email), Resend (sending email from hello@mainandmaple.co), ElevenLabs (the AI assistants), and Stripe (processing payments when you pay an invoice). If I add or change a provider that handles your information, I'll update this page.

Text messages

If you text me or agree to receive texts, I'll only text you about your request or project. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes, and text-messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

Work I do for your business

When I build or run something for your business, such as a website form or an AI receptionist, your customers' information belongs to your business. I access it only to provide and support the service, and I keep call recordings and transcripts only as long as your plan says. When you cancel, I'll hand over or delete that data, your choice.

How long I keep it

If we don't end up working together, I delete your contact details and messages within 2 years of our last contact. Client project records are kept as long as tax and bookkeeping rules require, usually 7 years. After that, I delete them.

Your choices

You can ask me to show you what I have about you, correct it, or delete it. Emailhello@mainandmaple.co and I'll take care of it.

Children

This site is for adults and businesses. I don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, I'll update this page and the date at the top.
